Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use rhedge.co.uk, why we collect it, what we do with it, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Sulit Ventures Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales.
Company registration number: 17245341
Registered office: 203 West Street, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 0EN, England
Contact for data protection matters: info@rhedge.co.uk
ICO registration number: [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER]
We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Data protection questions go to the email address above.
This policy covers rhedge.co.uk and content published under the names "Rhedge Ballesteros", "Sulit", "Sulit Dojo" and "Rhedge's Corner". It does not cover third-party platforms such as YouTube, which have their own privacy policies.
2. What we collect and why
2.1 When you browse the Site
Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page and pages viewed. Why: keeping the Site secure, preventing abuse and diagnosing technical problems. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in running a secure and functioning website.
Analytics data — how the Site is used. Why: understanding which content is useful so we can improve it. Lawful basis: consent, given through the cookie banner.
2.2 When you contact us
Your name, email address and the contents of your message. Why: replying to you and keeping a record of the correspondence. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in responding to enquiries.
2.3 When you subscribe to emails
Name, email address, sign-up date, and records of which emails you opened or clicked. Why: sending you the newsletter and understanding what people find useful. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We will never sell your email address or pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
2.4 When you buy something or join the members' area
Name, email address, billing address, purchase history and account login details. Why: providing what you paid for and managing your account. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
Payment confirmation. We do not receive or store your full card details. Why: taking payment and handling refunds or disputes. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
Transaction records. Why: meeting our accounting and tax obligations. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
Emails about products you have bought from us, each with an unsubscribe link. Why: telling you about similar products. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and the "soft opt-in" permitted under PECR.
2.5 When you use our calculators, quizzes or diagnostic tools
Some tools on the Site ask you to enter figures such as income, pay band, debt balances or pension contributions.
Where a tool works entirely in your browser, those figures stay on your device. They are not transmitted to us and we never see them.
Where a tool does send data to us — for example because it saves your results to your account or emails them to you — we will say so clearly on the page before you enter anything, and we will only use the figures to generate and store your result.
We do not use the figures you enter for advertising, and we do not sell or share them.
2.6 When you comment or submit content
If the Site offers comments or community features, we collect the name and email address you supply and the content you post, so that we can display it and moderate it. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in running the community.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them in three ways:
Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to work, for example keeping you logged in, remembering your basket, and security. These do not need your consent.
Analytics cookies — help us understand how the Site is used. Set only with your consent.
Marketing and affiliate cookies — used by advertising and affiliate networks to attribute a sale to a link you clicked. Set only with your consent.
When you first visit, you will see a cookie banner. You can accept, reject non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings — though the Site may not work properly without the necessary ones.
Some pages embed content from third parties, such as YouTube videos. Those embeds can set their own cookies once loaded. We load them only after you have given consent.
4. Who we share your data with
We share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions:
Website hosting — runs the Site: [HOSTING PROVIDER]
Email marketing — sends the newsletter: [EMAIL PROVIDER]
Payments — processes card payments: [PAYMENT PROVIDER]
Course and membership platform — delivers products and accounts: [PLATFORM]
Analytics — reports on Site usage: [ANALYTICS PROVIDER]
Accounting — keeps our financial records: [ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE]
We may also disclose personal data where we are legally required to, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If our business is sold or restructured, data may transfer to the buyer, who would remain bound by this policy.
5. Sending data outside the UK
Some of our providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK, we make sure it is protected by one of the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — an adequacy decision, the International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries and correspondence — 2 years after the matter is closed.
Newsletter subscriber data — until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not email you again.
Customer accounts and purchase records — for as long as you have an account, then 6 years.
Financial and tax records — 6 years from the end of the accounting period, as required by HMRC.
Analytics data — as set in our analytics provider's retention settings.
Server and security logs — up to 12 months.
Where we no longer need data, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable providers who maintain their own security standards.
No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours and tell you if the risk is high.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
be informed about how we use your data — this policy;
access the personal data we hold about you;
rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
restrict processing in certain circumstances;
data portability — receive data you gave us in a portable format;
object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time, absolutely;
withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent — this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it;
not be subject to decisions made solely by automated means that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
To exercise any of these, email info@rhedge.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
9. Marketing preferences
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email us and ask to be removed. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly and does not stop necessary service messages about a purchase or account you hold.
10. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.
Our educational tools may sort general information into categories based on figures you enter. This is a presentation aid, not a decision about you, and it is not financial advice — see our Terms of Service.
11. Children
The Site is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first at info@rhedge.co.uk so we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office:
Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF Helpline: 0303 123 1113 ico.org.uk
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and the "Last updated" date shows when it changed. If we make a significant change to how we use your data, we will tell you directly where we can.
